Dr. Rundell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and holds an adjunct appointment in the Department of Health Systems and Population Health in the School of Public Health. He is a licensed physical therapist and conducts epidemiology and health services research of musculoskeletal conditions, with a focus on low back pain and chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions in older adults. His overall research goal is to enhance our understanding of spine conditions and back-related disability in older adults to improve the delivery and quality of health care for this population. Dr. Rundell earned his BS from the University of Wisconsin - Madision, his DPT degree from Duke University, and his PhD in epidemiology from the University of Washington. He was a AHRQ K12 Scholar in Patient-Centered Outcomes Research from 2014-2016 at the University of Washington.
