Bio

Leo Sergio Morales is a Professor and Assistant Dean with the Office for Health Care Equity at UW Medicine.  He also serves as co-director for the Latino Center for Health, a state funded interdisciplinary health sciences research center focusing on Latino health issues in Washington State and the Pacific Northwest region. Dr. Morales received his medical degree and Master’s degree in public health from the University of Washington, and his doctorate in policy analysis from the Rand Graduate School.  He completed an internship and residency in primary care internal medicine at the San Francisco General Hospital/UCSF and a fellowship in primary care research at UCLA.  Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Washington in 2014, he was a faculty member at UCSF and UCLA schools of medicine and an investigator at the Group Health Research Institute.
